Here Comes the Sun!!

Spring has finally sprung!!  And my kids are loving it!!  We have been getting outside a lot, and have been enjoying every minute!!  I'm just counting down the days until our lawn guys come to clean up the yard so the kids can get their big surprise!!

Bubbles!!  Ty loves chasing after the bubbles!!  And I am so glad we bought that bubble gun - so much easier and way less messy!

Here is a link to a super cute video of Courtney playing with the bubbles!

Playing with the bowling set!

Crazy alien guys!

Cute moment of Courtney playing with her dolly and her stroller.  Such a sweetheart!

Court can now drink from a big girl cup all on her own!!  I don't let her do it all of the time, but she is actually really good at doing it on her own!!

Super cute video of Courtney blowing kisses with me!  Love her!

A couple more of my happy guy!  Just loves being outside!!  He is so stinking cute!!

Last week, well early in the week, the weather got seriously summer nice!!  We were out in our shorts and hats and it was pure awesomeness!!  And pure kid joy!!  My kids had so much fun, and it was really fun playing with them.  They are at a good age!  Court is a strong walker, so she can explore and run around and I don't have to hold her the whole time.  She loves being out there with Ty, trying to do what he does and chase him around.  I took way too many pictures, but they were so happy and having so much fun and were sooo cute!!  I couldn't help myself!!

Looking so grown up and cool.

Who doesn't love a baby in a sun hat?  I had been wanting to put Courtney in this outfit forever and was so excited to finally have her in it outside!!

Cute hat, cute shorts, cute bow, cute shoes - too cute!!

Ty and his bubble gun!  So happy!

One of my favorite pictures of her!  Adorable!

Choo choo!!  I actually try to not encourage this too much - but it is so cute!

Ty looks like a man in need of a nerf gun...

Funny girl!

Playing with some of the new toys from my parents.

She loves them!

Ty likes to line things up....he was really good about sharing them with his sister.  I was proud!

Brother - sister playtime!!

Courtney loves the princesses on her wagon.  She points to each one of them and I swear she is trying to say their names like I do.

My little soccer superstar!!  She just started kicking the ball all on her own!  Link to the video below.

A little brother sister book time.  Courtney has gotten much better at not just eating books, although she still loves to eat books.  And when she wants to she high steps it super fast to get away from me!!  Haha!!  She does love to look at books and point to all of the pictures.  She mostly says, "ta" for everything, but I feel like she is learning the words, even if she can't say them.

Tyson being such a big boy and coloring inside the lines!!

Reading with Daddy!  Cutest moment ever!

Gotta learn all about Buzz and Woody.  She loves this book.

My Big Guy!!

Tyson is 3.5!!  He is getting so big!!  Literally - he looks so tall and grown up now!  He is such a fun, funny, and cute little guy!  He LOVES dinosaurs!!  Like love, love, loves them.  He watches this show about a boy and his bucket of dinosaurs.  In the show, they jump in the bucket to go to dino-world.  Tyson also has a bucket of dinosaurs and pretends to go to dino-world with his dinosaurs.  His favorite dinosaur toys are the dinosaur toys he gets from my parents house.  They are my brothers old ones.  What is super funny is that when we go there, he separates the duplicate ones that he already has at home from the "new" ones and won't play with the "old" ones while he is there.  Its so funny!!

He is talking more and more, but is still hard to understand at times.  He talks fast and tends to blend words together that he thinks are one word.  He is getting a lot better at listening and sharing - not all the time - but much improved.  He listens really well about coming in from outside, coming for meals, and even helps clean up sometimes!!  He can share really nice sometimes, which is such a blessing as Courtney is all up in his business a lot of the time.  He likes to set up his animal toys a certain way and has a really hard time sharing them when he is playing with them.  He really loves the animal toys that he got for his birthday - he plays with them every day.

He LOVES being outside!!  It is his favorite thing in the world.  He is so happy out there and it makes me so happy to see him so happy!  Being outside more and getting more fresh air has really helped his patience level.  I find he listens better and is easier to get along with when he has been getting outside more.  He loves when I blow bubbles for him to chase and pop.  Super cute!

He loves his baby sister!!  He loves to chase her around and have her chase him.  He alos likes to play with her feet and talk to her.  He gets really frustrated when he is trying to do something and she comes over and messes it up, but when they do play nice, its the cutest thing in the world.

He is so sweet!!  When he is playing and the blocks get messed up or he gets frustrated or we get frustrated - he always says, "I'm so sorry".  It kinda breaks my heart sometimes.  Especially if we have been having a rough day and he is just trying to do something, "I'm so sorry".  My poor guy!!  Just doesn't understand sometimes and I feel so bad that he is so "hurt" by the process.

He can be very emotional.  He can melt down into tears very easily and needs his hugs and cuddles from Mom or Dad.  If he is getting frustrated, we often offer a hug and he goes right in for it, because he really needs it.  I read an article about strong willed kids (Ty is absolutely strong willed, if you want to put a label on him) and I thought it was interesting that they stated that strong willed kids know that they are hard to handle and need extra reassurance that you love them.  This is so true!!  I hug and tell Ty that I love him and am proud of him almost as much as we play.  He needs it and thrives off of it!  I was already doing this before I read the article, but I found it interesting that they actually encouraged you to baby them.  It made me think that his more babyish behaviors are probably a result of insecurities as opposed to inabilities. It also stated that they have a hard time with transitions (yep!), are very emotional - highs and lows (yep!), and love adrenalin games like hide and seek or chasing games.  I thought that was also interesting as Tyson loves to be scared by us.  If Brock pops out at him and he gets scared, he thinks its so much fun!!  I worry that he will be into jumping out of planes when he gets older....but I'm not going to worry about that now.

I love my little guy so much!!  He can be frustrating at times but if I can keep my patience, he is the best little guy in the world!!
