Happy New Year!! I'm not going to lie, I hate January. It's long, its cold, its boring. This year I really tried to not be boring and try to make the best of January, and I think I did a pretty good job. We didn't stay home all month and actually had a lot of fun!
For New Year's Eve, I helped the kids make some noise makers!
First, we had to decorate the paper plates.
Adding some ribbon.
Add dry pasta and tape all around and it's done! Pretty cute!
We also bought the kids some funny hats and let them be noisy and silly. Court looks so cute in her little new years crown!
I made these noise makers with cups. Court really liked these ones.
In case you didn't know, all the cool princesses wear their tiaras on backwards.
I also made some chocolate covered strawberries for a fun treat!

The next day was a beautiful day and we had my parents over to take the kids sledding! They loved it!! It was a perfect day!! A super huge thanks to my Dad who did all of the hard work - pulling the kids up the hill, sledding, bringing all of the equipment. I just got to watch and enjoy!

So, of course the super cold January weeks had to come......I tried to make the best of it. My parents got the kids this super awesome tent! It is really nice and is the best tent/fort type structure we have had.

My parents also got Ty this dinosaur sands alive set, It is awesome! I was actually looking at getting Ty some of this and I'm so glad that they got him some. He loves it!!

The weather got warm and we got lots more snow, so that meant - playtime!! My kids love being outside.

Brock gave Ty a haircut at home!! He did such a great job! Super cute! And better than all the hair salon drama....Ty just wont sit in the chair....not worth it. He can have a cute hair style in a few years, this works for now.

Ty playing with his activity books! He does so well! He is doing the dot to dot on his own and is even trying to trace the letters and numbers on his own - and doing pretty good at it. That one tracing app taught him the correct motions, and now he is working on doing it with a pen. Very proud of my little guy!

We survived January!! It has been so warm the past couple weeks and it is making me crave spring. Winter, its been fun, but its time for spring. Man, I need to move to BC.....I am not ready for it to get cold again and to have to deal with this winter garbage for 3 more months. I'm done.
The kids are doing great! Court is talking a ton!! Repeats everything we say and talks independently very well. She uses 2-3 words sentences sometimes and we can communicate quite well. She knows all of our names (Mommy, Daddy, Tyson, Grandma, Gido, and even Uncle B!!) and is starting to learn some of her letters! Tyson is also talking up a storm and is growing up every day. I'm glad that he will be at home next year and not going to kindergarten yet. He isn't ready, and I'm not ready for him to be all grown up just yet.
