Summer 2017!!

We had a great summer!!  We kicked off summer with special Canada Day waffles!!  Brock even made mine super festive and cute!!

Cute kids in cute Canada shirts!

Swimming party at Grandma's house!!

Roasting hot dogs and marshmallows for lunch!  Yummy!

Court was obsessed with this - she insisted on helping everyone cook their hot dogs.

Courtney eating hot dogs with her best buddy Gido.

Courtney cooking more hot dogs with Gido.

Playing with fun Canada Day filters on Snapchat!

Cute beaver!

Court and Ty were working together and drawing pictures together.  It was the cutest!

Their cute pictures.

Playing with sprinklers in the backyard!

Playing in the pool with her dolphin.

Sitting in the beaver dam at the zoo.

Field trip with CASE to safety city!  This was super fun!  Both kids did a great job of driving the little quads around, with lots of help steering.

Court going through the drive thru!  Haha!

Cute little train picnic bench!

My big boy!  He had so much fun with this!

Safety City was super close to Daddy's work, so we had to stop in a say hi!  One of Brock's graphic designers was so kind and let the kids kinda take over her station and play.  Super fun!

Court is obsessed with vanilla ice cream cones!

Swimming at Grandma's house!

Court found a cute hat in the playhouse.

Playing at the park near Grandma's house.

Court found this super old, super gross lipstick in the playhouse.

Its a hot look Court. Haha!

Beach day with Daddy!  Hubble beach was great!  The sand was super soft and the water was so clean too!  Lots of fun!

Making sandcastles with Daddy!

Swimming in the lake!

I had to take a picture of Court with her favorite monkey at the zoo!

Ty loves the squirrel monkeys!

Watching the reindeer up close!

Playing at the park!

Court was super excited to make her own pizza one night!  Her favorite!

Monday Morning Magic at K-Days!!  We were so excited to get to take Ty and Courtney to this! The weather was terrible.  Super cold and very very rainy.  We toughed it out - and the kids still had a great time despite the weather.

Courtney was so excited that so many of her favorite princesses were there!  Huge highlight for sure!  We made sure to get pictures with all of them.

We only ended up going on about 3 rides.  The light rain turned into a huge downpour and everyone bailed inside pretty quick.  When you are already frozen and soaked - I was the one to beg to get inside for a bit.  I was so cold!  Thankfully, they were able to open a kids area inside that had a bunch of farm animals and stuff.  Equally exciting!!

Those poor princesses.  I really felt bad for them - they really were troupers.

Ty really liked the Oilers Lynx.  He was pretty cool!

Once everyone headed inside, all of the mascots, characters, and celebrities did too.  As were were walking around we saw that Chase and Marshall were there.  Ty knew who they were right away and was so excited to meet them.  Biggest highlight for him for sure.

We also ran into some Eskimo celebrities!!  Court was pretty excited and was super cute asking them to sign her football.

The day ended with watching a puppy show!  I pulled Ty up to the front row and he loved it!  It was a great day!  Both kids had a great time!  And scored big - 4 new stuffies per kid!

Court has been begging us for months to go on a motorboat ride.  My parents had some holiday time and met us at the lake to rent a boat and go for a ride.  Court was so excited!

Ty thought it was pretty cool too!

Court driving the boat!

Ty driving the boat!

After we went to the beach to play in the water and build sand castles.

Playing in the water with Gido.

Ty working hard on his sand castles

Field trip with CASE to the John Janzen Nature Centre.  This was a hard one for Ty.  When we go there, we always just play in the free play area.  This was more of a nature walk and real field trip kind of experience (which ended with playing in the free play area).  Thank goodness Ty's SLP just happened to be at this outing - I could not have gotten Ty through it without her.  We ended up getting him to participate, but in a much more sped up version.  Court LOVED it.  She stayed with the group and had a great time.  Ready for preschool much?

Court petting a salamander.

Court looking at the bugs the kids found in the pond.

The 2 mins that Ty explored the pond.  Small wins.

Helping Gido clean the pool!  (More like trying to get this hose out of my pool so I can swim!)

Silly faces with my girl.

Courtney and Gido building a fire to roast hot dogs!

Happy Birthday to me!  It was my actual birthday and my parents got me the most adorable little cake ever.  So cute!

Taking Fergus for a walk with Gido.

Zoo train rides!!

The zoo got baby goats!  They are the cutest ever!

My little monkey playing at the park!

Spray Park outing with CASE!  Ty usually doesn't really like spray parks and I would always end up losing my kids and it was simply stressful and not fun.  What a difference 2 years makes!  Court is such a big girl now and listens so well about staying close to Mommy and Tyson - so no lost kids.  And Ty actually had a great time!  We have been going back lots since this visit!

Ty was getting all up in there and really exploring!  What a big boy!  Super impressed!  And an added fun thing to do!

Such cute kids!

Brock snuck a picture of Courtney in primary.  Sitting and waiting so nicely to give her first talk.  She was so excited and did a great job!

Dinosaur Forest outing with CASE!  This was awesome!  The kids loved it!  So cool - the dinosaurs move and roar and its just really really cool!

Ty loved it!  He couldn't get enough!

We found the T-Rex!

Playing the in the playground after checking out all the dinosaurs (twice).

Such a cute picture of us!  This was such a fun outing!

Ty loved it so much, he played with his dinosaurs constantly for weeks.

The spray park was a big hit with both kids for the rest of the summer.

Ty even got braver and braver!

This little silly head.  She is so weird and so funny.  Love her!

Happy kids swimming at Grandma's house.

Ty was such a strong swimmer this year!  He would swim and paddle around all by himself!  Big boy!

Only my sweet Courtney would clean and dust as a fun activity! She can't wait to be a mommy and have a house and babies of her own.

Just chillin' with Lucy the elephant.

My little monkeys!  Ty was a little monkey this summer!  Climbing up and on everything and anything!  He was so proud of himself!  Such a big boy!

Playing on the bus at the new park in our neighborhood.

More spray park fun!

Ty loving up on Courtney in the pool.  These kids love each other so much.

Pretty special moment.  We go to the zoo a lot and Court loves to talk to the zoo keepers and ask them questions.  She asked the zoo keeper what the camel's name was and not only did he tell her - but he stopped what he was doing and let us into the barn to meet Hope the camel and feed her cookies!  Amazing!  He made my kids whole day!!  Ty was practically kissing Hope.  Getting right up in her face and just loving every moment.  So cool!

My eclipse fail.  I saw nothing.....maybe that's why you need the glasses - but this over the shoulder selfie did not work.

Ty has a pretty amazing OT.  She made Ty this custom Dora candyland game to help him with his food exposure.  Pretty amazing!!

Ty was so excited that he could finally climb this thing all by himself!  He has been working on it all summer!  Such a big boy!  He is so much stronger and more confident on playground equipment!  So proud of him!  Just in time for big boy school!

I also finally finished building my old Barbie dream house for Courtney!  I was pretty proud that I finally got it all put together!

Such a cute little princess!

Pretending to play Mario Kart with me.  So cute!

More crazy spray park fun!

Ty was loving it!  He was getting right in there and actually getting wet!  I could barely get him to leave!

Back to school hair cut time!  Court chillin' with a magazine waiting for her turn.

Looking fresh Court!  She was so excited to get her hair cut!

June!!

June was a pretty chill month!  More of the same - waiting for end of school and for summer to start!

We found out first ladybug!!  I knew Ty would love these little bug boxes!

New fun inflatable animals!

Courtney running through the sprinkler with her dolphin!  So cute!

Courtney finished her swim lessons and did awesome!  So proud of you baby girl!

Going out for ice cream with this girl is always fun!

Riding the carousel at the zoo with my little buddy.

Courtney found a ladybug all by herself!  (I caught it for her, but she was still super proud to find one in the yard!)  Good job Courtney!!

We went exploring to find some new parks to play at this summer!

Courtney is looking so big and grown up!

My kids love finding these pictures around the park when they have them.

Happy boy!

Going on a bug hunt.

Happy Father's Day to Daddy!!  Cute gifts from my cute kids!

Playing at Grandma and Gido's house on Father's Day.  We ended up playing in the pool - so I don't have a ton of pictures.

Ty invented a bowling game - smart kid!

Court eating her first big corn!  She loved it!

More fun park mornings!

This standing teeter totter was super cool!

Wet hair meant cute braids!

More park exploring!  We found a super cute park in Cameron Heights - its very cute!  And Ty is now climbing ladders all by himself!  Great job buddy!

Hanging with my cute little buddy!

Courtney always makes new friends at the park - super cute!  These girls played so nice together all morning.

New fun summer hair!!

While I got my hair done (and Brock stayed home with a super sick Ty) Court went out to the Farmer's Market with Grandma, Gido, Uncle B, and Auntie Nicole!!  Talk about spoiled!  She had so much fun!!

Gido spoiled her by buying her bracelets and balloon animals!

Ty got in an artistic mood and drew a bunch of pictures one morning - all by himself!  And he drew so well too!  Great job buddy!!

Last day of preschool!!  Grade 1 bound! What an awesome picture - you look so grown up buddy!!

We are so grateful for the time Ty has had at his preschool.  What a difference it has made in his life.  He is so ready for this transition and will do so well in his new interactions program. Great work buddy!!  We are so proud of you!

Family Day at Ty's school!

Last picture with Teacher Stephanie!  What an angel this woman is!  We love you Stephanie - you truly changed Ty's life.  All that Ty might accomplish will be because of the foundation this woman gave our sweet little boy.  We will never be able to thank her enough.

Playing in the gym!  Courtney had so much fun "going to school with Ty" for the day!

Ty's school picture!  Such a good picture too!  I love you sweet boy!

Ty finally started using headphones a little bit!  Great job buddy!

Over the summer, CASE (Ty's therapy provider) has set up a bunch of summer outings and field trips.  We already had our first one yesterday - gymnastics!  It was super fun! Ty loved going bouncy, bouncy, bouncy on the trampolines!

Courtney jumping!

Courtney swinging on the rope!  Ty even was able to do this a little bit too!

Court's cool trick she learned from one of the coaches!  Great job Courtney!

Ty also finally finally lost that second tooth!!  Hooray!!
