Welcome Courtney!!

Courtney Dawn Lehr was born on April 18, 2013 at about 2:00pm.  She was 8lbs 2oz and 21 inches long.  Her delivery was completely different than Ty's, and I guess we were lucky to have not gone to c-section!  All that aside, we are thrilled to have a little baby girl!  She is so fun, and i especially love dressing her up in little outfits!  Courtney looks a lot like me, which is fun.  Now we have a mini Brock and a mini Beth!  Here are some pictures from our first 6 weeks!

Thankfully my Mom had a camera at the hospital, I totally forgot to grab mine on the way out the door!  Whoops!

First picture!  A little swollen, but not bad really.

Sleepy girl.  It was a long day!

All bundled up.

Getting ready to go home!

So small!  Car seats look so uncomfortable for babies.

Ready to go!

First bath!  Courtney loves baths!  She could stay in there forever!

All snuggled in her towel.

Grandma came to help for a week!

Ty bonding with his sister.  I never force Ty to interact with Courtney.  He really doesn't understand and he can be so rough.  One afternoon he thought that maybe he should check this girl out!

Ty liked the bunnies on her feet!

Cute picture.  When he does play with Courtney, he is always so tender and sweet.

This bunny sleeper is super cute!

First Mother's Day!

Little sleeping princess!

First trip to church!  Slept the whole time!

Cute picture in her cute dress!

Courtney is the anti-Tyson.  Ty would never sit in his bouncer and forget the soother!  Courtney loves both, and this bouncer is my best friend during the day!

More cute towel pictures!

Who doesn't love chubby cheeks!

Tyson and Courtney playing.  Ty has more fun with the toys right now!

Cute girl!

Princess soother!

Playing with her toys!

Overall, things have been going really well.  I don't think Courtney is that much different than Ty was as a baby, a bit more chill maybe, but I think I just know more of what to do.  I feel so blessed to have her in our family and I am so excited to watch our little family grow together.

Big Brother Tyson!!

I am so impressed with how well Ty has adapted to being a big brother.  He still gets upset sometimes when he can't play with Mommy, but overall he is doing great!  He plays by himself a lot more is becoming a lot more independent.  Courtney has really pushed him to grow up a little bit, but in a good way.  Even with cutting his last molars (yes, we are finally done!!), he has really been a champ.  My tow favorite words of his right now are butterfly (utterfry) and dinosaur (inosaur).  He also started saying "love you" to us last night, so cute!

Trying out the bouncer.  Now you want to sit in it...

Playing outside!  I love our backyard!  So does Ty!  Can't wait to break out the pool and slip and slide!  We have a bit of a hill, its going to be awesome!

Cute boy!

My parents got Ty this wind toy.  We had to try it out!

Blow!

Building with KD.  Ty gets into my cabinets a lot more now....haha!

Ty putting his babies (Woody and Buzz) down for a nap.  So cute.

Just reading to himself.  He reads the numbers in this book.

Ty at 2 1/2!!

Ty is almost 2 1/2!!  Holy smokes!  He is awesome!  He is talking more and more each day and is just a super happy, sometimes hyper, little guy.  He knows all of his letters, upper and lower case, and his numbers from 1-10.  He is also starting to work on learning his colors, although he really only knows blue and green (bloo and geen).  He still LOVES cars!  We have so many, its a little ridiculous!  He also loves to color, make pillow forts, and play with his legos.  Ty seems to play pretend with his toys more now.  He is always making his cars fly and making his animals talk to each other, or my favorite, is the long conversations he has with Woody and Buzz.  He still does all of this in his own language, but its still super cute to watch.  He is so happy being back in Edmonton and having a lot more room to run around and play - and he does run around, all day long!  I just love him to pieces!  I can't believe how big he is getting!  Here are some pictures of what we have been up to since moving back to Edmonton!

Playing at the rec center.  A friend of mine introduced me to the new play area at the John Janzen Nature Center, its pretty cool.

Ty loves these foam leaves!

Playing in our new backyard!  I have been so excited for this!  He loves it, now all this snow needs to melt so we can get some cool backyard stuff and really run around!

Enjoying a warm afternoon, it was hot in the sun!

Trying to dig out his yard!  Smallest shovel ever!

Just playing in the snow in his new rubber boots!

Playing some catch with Mommy.

And this is what happens when you leave Ty with a naked belly, colored pens, and a good cartoon.  He was so proud of himself!

The video below shows off Ty saying some of his letters (which of course he did the entire alphabet just before I brought out the camera) and going down the stairs like a big boy!  Ever since we moved back here and Ty has been around stairs he has been on them like crazy.  This was the only time I let him go down without holding my hand.

I can't believe my time of just Ty and me is coming to an end. I really will miss this special time when it was just us 2 and we were a family of 3.  I just love my little man!  He is so grown up now, I just hope the transition to being a big brother isn't too hard on him.  That being said, I am so excited to meet this little girl!  Bring on the pink parade, I am so ready for baby!

Easter!!

For Easter this year I really wanted to decorate cookies with Ty.  He had done it for the first time a year ago in Calgary, and I was hoping he would still enjoy it.  Plus, we didn't get to decorate cookies at Christmas...so I was a little excited.  So was Ty!  He loved it!  He loves to color, so once again, he was in heaven.  We played with icing for a solid hour before I had to cut it off for lunch.  He really understood to put it on the cookies too!  I had brought a bunch of cookies to a play date earlier that week, so we only had 6 or so, which was not nearly enough!  Once the cookies were seriously covered, I got out some tin foil and we just played with the icing.  A great activity and made all the prep-work well worth it!

Getting into his first cookie.

Happy boy!

Working hard!

Seriously, he just loves doing this!  And he is super cute too.

Working on his masterpiece.

You would think he was getting hyper off eating the icing, but he doesn't eat it, just likes to play.

A few of our cookies, lots of icing!

We had a giggle party too!

Easter morning Ty got up to find the Easter Bunny had come!  It was a Tigger themed year.  He still loves Tigger and Winnie the Pooh, so the Easter Bunny brought him the Tigger Movie and some treats.  We had a bit of an egg hunt, which Ty was kinda into.  He had more fun later on in the week dumping the eggs out of his basket and then collecting them.  We took a couple pictures in the morning of Ty getting his treats.

Cute Tigger basket.  Its actually the same one he had from his first Easter.

New movie!
