My Super Model!

A friend of mine takes amazing pictures of kids, so I couple of weeks ago we met up at the park to take some pics of Ty! They turned out AWESOME! Thank you soo much Maren! We lucked out with a beautiful day and a very happy baby! I posted my favorites below....which is most of them - haha!!

Solids and Teeth!!!

April was a busy month around here. Although we didn't really do much, Tyson was teething big time, which made for a lot of long nights and a pretty fussy and generally cranky guy (and Mommy sometimes). Finally, last week Tyson had his first tooth break through!! He has 3 more that are right there, but they are taking a long time to finally break free. I can't get a good picture of his cute little tooth yet - its still pretty short and on the bottom.

Other than teeth, Tyson has been working on solids! This has been pretty fun. He loves to be involved and mess around with his food or hold a spoon too! We got him a high chair pretty quick after I discovered that his big bum was not bumbo compatible - Ty did not like getting his bum stuck in the chair every time!! haha

Tyson will be 7 months old next week and has really turned into a little boy! He can sit up on his own and is getting close to crawling. He loves to move around and explore but gets frustrated when he can't get where he wants to. I give him about a month and then he will be trouble! He is also "talking" like crazy and is really interactive. He loves to be a part of the conversation - especially when I'm on the phone or sitting in church!! He loves his Mommy and Daddy and gets so excited when Brock gets home from work, which we both love!

Tyson also loves the remote! Sometimes if he is really fussy it is the only thing that will make him happy. He looks so funny here, but is showing off his awesome sitting skills and cute pj pants.

Some Big Firsts!

March has been a busy month! Tyson is now 5.5 months old. He hasn't been weighed in a while, but I would guess that he is around 19 lbs. I did an estimated weight with my wii fit. He is laughing and giggling a lot now - which is really fun! Its seriously my favorite thing in the world. He is almost sitting up on his own as well - not quite there but getting super close. He is also working on his crawling muscles. Still a ways away from that, but he is sort of figuring out the motions independently, but he can't put them together yet. He really likes to move around and be active - so the fact that he can't on his own gets him a bit frustrated sometimes. Because of this, we got him a jolly jumper - which he LOVES!! He can jump around in it for about half an hour and has been great for burning off some energy. He has been sleeping a lot better since he has been using it and just loves it. He just wants to move around and explore, so its been perfect!! We also moved Tyson into his big boy crib and his own room. I just love his room and crib set (thanks again Grandma and Gido)! Its super cute Winnie the Pooh themed. He seems to really like sleeping on a real mattress instead of the pack and play hard board thing. The last big first of the month - solids!! We started him on some rice cereal about a week ago, just to get him used to the spoon and the whole experience. He seems to really like it. He doesn't eat too much yet, but its been really fun starting this with him. Here are some pics and video of what we have been up to for the last little while.

Just waking up! He's so funny, he doesn't really cry, he just sits up like this and waits for us to come get him. He just looks around and gives you a big smile when you come in to pick him up. Its really cute!

Tyson's Blessing Day

At the beginning of March we were able to bless Tyson at church. Other than the fact that Tyson screamed (not cried, screamed) through the whole thing, it was a really nice blessing from his Father. Poor guy was just tired and hungry. After his blessing, we had the family back to the house to hang out for a bit. We were able to get some really cute shots - he was in a much better mood after his nap!

Tyson's 3 Month Professional Pics

Way back in January, when Tyson was only 2.5 - 3 months old, we got some professional shots done. He looks so little here, especially since he is almost 6 months old now!! He's getting so big - its fun to look back and see how much he has changed in such a short period of time. I have posted a couple of my favorite pictures below.

January = Hibernation

What a month January has been!! The snow that has fallen this month is unbelievable - and it won't stop!! The weather lady said that we got 2.5 feet in ten days!! Having never lived anywhere else, you would think that I would be used to this, but this truly is crazy - even for Edmonton. On top of the snow, it has been minus 30ish (Celsius people) and at least one member of the family was sick every week since Christmas, including cute little Tyson! At least the weather is giving us a break this week with plus digit temperatures and everyone seems to be over the flu, at least for now!

Poor Brock! I think he almost broke his back shoveling all of the snow - and this was only the start! The snow drift is twice as high as this now!!

With all the snow and no one feeling all that well, Tyson and I hibernated for the month. Yesterday was also Tyson's 3 month birthday which he celebrated with a check up at the doctor. My little chunker is now 15 lbs 7 oz, but only 60 cms long. Basically, he is short and fat!! Here is a taste of what we were up to.

Before the snow we went for a visit to Great Baba's house. Ty looks so cute sporting his cute hat from Grandma and Gido. One of my first good smiling pictures!
