Ty's First Haircut!!

It was time - time for Ty to get a haircut!! Our shaggy little boy was getting a bit out of hand. Ty was so good for the hairdresser! He didn't fuss at all until the very end when he was simply sick of being held down. And his hair turned out so cute!! I can't believe I waited so long! He looks like a little boy now for sure - but he looks so much cuter! I love it!!

The boys before! Check out Ty's major mullet and hair covering his ears!

Getting started! Ty liked flirting with Lisa - of course!

Being a really good boy!

All done! Ty didn't want to pose for pictures when we got home so I had to run around after him all afternoon to try and get a good one. Doesn't he look so cute!!

Such a little boy now!

Whatever Mom, I'm grown up now.

This is probably the best shot. Lisa did such a great job - I'm really impressed! She was able to shape it all over and give him a really good cut!

Winter Fun and Loving One!!

I have to admit, I love Ty at 1!! He is so much fun!! Since he has started walking around all on his own we have been having a great time. He really plays with me now and is really good about playing by himself too (usually with his train or his ball). Not that I didn't enjoy Ty as a little baby, but I am having a lot of fun with him right now. It makes me so grateful that I have the opportunity to stay home with him. These are the moments I have been waiting for and I am loving every minute!! Ty loves to be chased around and is a super social, happy little guy! He can be pretty rambunctious, but he plays pretty good with other kids. He has gotten even more obsessed with the cameras and now will throw a tantrum if he really wants something and can't have it - especially right now with the toilet and the toilet water and the buttons for the thermostat. It makes it really hard to get pictures of him and he is so cute so I want to take pictures all the time!! Anyways, here is a peek at what we have been up to lately.

It has been so mild this year, which is great for the weather, but crummy for the snow!! It was finally nice out with fluffy snow so we went out in the yard to play!

Thanks for the mittens Mom! Ty loves them - he doesn't pull at them at all!! We had a fun afternoon, but I think, like me, by the time you get all dressed up, its not as much fun anymore!!

Getting ready for Christmas!! I love my tree...so does Ty. Especially the Christmas balls...shocker!! He is actually pretty good with the tree. He does pull at it, but only a couple times and we moved all the balls out of reach...so that helps!

Brock's work had a Christmas party for the kids a few weeks ago and Santa came - with presents!! Ty loved it!! He grabbed the gift right away and thought Santa was a pretty cool dude! Too into the present to pose for the camera, but I'm glad he had fun!

Halloween!!

We had a very Tigger themed Halloween this year! Ty dressed up as Tigger and we even carved a Tigger pumpkin! Ty looked so cute as Tigger!! I have always wanted to dress up my baby as a big stuffed animal!!

Tigger pumpkin!!

Best picture we got - so cute!

Watching some TV before heading out!

Hanging at Uncle Brendon and Auntie Nicole's house. So nice that they live so close! Good picture of the whole costume.

The back. The tail even sproings!!!

Ty loves water and the tap. I got tired of holding him so i thought putting him in the sink would be a good idea. He LOVED it....until it was time to get out....major temper tantrum. Guess it wasn't such a good idea....lol.

Tyson's First Birthday!!

Tyson is 1!! I can't believe it. He is such an awesome little guy. He is super happy, animated and active, always running around and playing. He gets so excited about everything and is such a cute little guy. I love him so much and couldn't imagine my life without him. I feel so blessed to have him in my life.

Ty's birthday and birthday party were a lot of fun. Ty loved opening his presents (super cute) and even loved wearing his party hat!! Cake, on the other hand, is not Ty's thing. The smell makes him throw up, and yes we got it on video - haha!!

On Ty's actual birthday, Brock took a half day and we went to the mall for a fun outing.

Ty walking with Daddy at the mall.

On Saturday we had the big party!! It was so much fun and thanks to all the family and friends who came out. Ty had a great time and loves all of his gifts!! Thanks again to everyone, it was a great day.

Awesome Toy Story themed decorations!!

Ty's cool Toy Story cake.

Just playing with some balloons.

Ty and Mommy in their party hats. I can't believe he actually wore it the whole party!

Ty looking cute in his hat and birthday shirt!

Opening presents!! Ty loved the cards - actually he loved this pig card from Gabby. He didn't let go of it for almost all of the present opening!! He also loves his farm - thanks Gabby!!

Reading more cards, but keeping the piggy one close by.

Ty was so into opening presents!! It was really fun!

The new favorite card - fuzzy one from Grandma and Gido!!

Grandma and Gido got Ty his first car! Looking cool buddy!!

Taking the car for a spin!

Cake time!! Ty thought the cake looked super cool and loved having everyone sing to him! I think his favorite part was clapping with everyone at the end. What a cutie!!

Clap, clap clap!! Its my day!!

Classic blow out the candles picture for my Dad.

After I leaned Ty in close to the cake he wanted to touch it, then realized it was icing and started to gag. At least he didn't throw up!! Poor guy, not a fan of cake. It was really yummy - maybe next year!!

Jasper and Fall Fun!

A few weeks ago we took a quick trip out to Jasper. It was Tyson's first road trip and overall, he did very well. We both got a bit cranky by the final leg on the way home, but who doesn't? The weather was cold and rainy, so we really didn't leave the car for 2 days - not the most fun for a very active little boy. I took a couple pictures, but like I said, we really didn't do much.

Ty hanging out in the hotel bed.

We took a little break and let Ty drive for a bit - haha!!

So fun!! Just happy to be out of the car seat!!

I love fall. It has been so nice to get out with Ty on so many nice fall days! The weather is changing this coming week, so I am glad we got out as much as we did!

Hanging in the backyard with Mommy. What a cutie!

Big boy car seat!! I was so happy to finally get to turn Ty forward facing in the car! He likes it a lot better than rear facing (and a DVD player with Dora always helps too!).

Just playing in the leaves! I saw on the news that it was going to snow next week so we had to get outside in the leaves one last time!

Fall Family Pics!!

With Ty's birthday landing in the fall, I was excited to get some updated 1 year (11 months..) shots of Ty and some family shots in the pretty fall colors. Boy did we luck out!! The day was beautiful (actually too warm for our fall clothes) and the leaves were perfect! Thanks again Maren for doing these for us, they turned out awesome!! Here are a few of the highlights! I am super excited to print a few and put some on the walls - far away from Tyson's reach!!

11 months!!

Ty is 11 months old today!! Where has this year gone? I can't believe that we will be celebrating his birthday in 1 month!! Crazy. Life here has been pretty busy. Ty is a very active little man and knows what he wants. He loves anything electronic, especially if he is not allowed to play with it - like the cameras. Therefore, getting pictures and video of him is a HUGE challenge. Every time I pull it out he is attacking me in 2.5 secs!! He even knows the sound of it coming on, so when I try to sneak up on him to catch a moment....well, you get the idea. Our general routine every time he gets up is some cuddles, followed by playing with blocks, chase some blocks, open all the cabinets and empty them, and then run up the stairs. haha!!

Ty is standing and cruising like crazy. He can walk along all the furniture and is more and more interested in walking every day. He will take steps with help around the room and will take a falling step on his own. He is also practicing standing on his own, which is pretty fun and a proud moment for him. Recently he mastered a few other tricks including clapping, high fives, and stacking a block on top of another block (we have been building a lot of towers and playing a lot of patty cake!). He is also very interested in putting things down properly. Like putting the baby monitor down on its base or his sippy cup down on its base. He's pretty good at it, but gets mad when he can't get it after a few tries. Ty is also very chatty lately, but only he can understand his stories yet. No official first word yet!!

The other day Ty mastered a big one for me....he drinks from his sippy cup on his own!!! That's right people, he brings it to his mouth and drinks from it!! One small step towards self feeding....I hope. Eating is still up and down, but has been on the better side for the past few weeks. Sleep still sucks...who knew getting 4 hours straight would be so exciting!! I joked with Brock the other day that this year has flown by, yet I have been awake for more of it than any year of my life!! haha

Just looking cute!

Getting revved up for the first Chargers game of the season!!

Go Chargers!!!

This is my new favorite thing!! A big pet peeve of mine is the dryer door closing automatically, but Ty has been most helpful at holding the door!! Thanks buddy!!

Just out for a walk at the park! I love fall!! The weather is perfect and the colors are so pretty! Ty is also very into his toothbrush. He would not let it go to go out and held it for our entire walk and on the swings!! Weird...maybe he will be a dentist when he grows up!

This is a pic for Ty's wedding for sure!! Sucking face with the window!! He does this with the fireplace, the dishwasher, the stove....haha!! Practicing for the ladies!!

Proof!! He can do it himself!! So far this is the only thing that he will put in his mouth, but i have hope!

Loving his crazy hair!!
