Easter!

Just before Easter this year I took Ty to Auntie Kristin's house to decorate Easter cookies! Ty actually had a lot of fun doing it, so I attempted to do it again on my own. My icing was way too runny, but Ty still had fun. Thanks again for having us Kristin, it was fun to try something new with Ty. He loves coloring and writing with pens, so this was right up his ally.

Doing so good with the good icing at Kristin's house!

Ty's awesome cookies!

Helping Mommy pick out the cookie cutters!

Cutting out shapes!

Having fun making cookies!

Waiting for them to bake. How much longer?!

Decorating! Loves it...even with bad, runny icing.

It was to do this, but my cookies and icing were not my best batch. Glad he was more into decorating than eating them!

The Big Move!

March and April were busy months around here. Brock got a new job with the Westin Calgary and we had to make the big move down south. I am so grateful to him for all the hard work and long hours he put in to make the move so easy on Ty and I. Brock did almost all of the packing, all the planning, made numerous trips to Calgary to get everything ready, and did all the cleaning on the old house! It was a lot of work, and we sure missed Daddy while he was gone. Now we are all settled and happy in our new little townhome in Calgary. Its a bit smaller than our old place, but has more open space for Ty to play. Its got everything we need and we are really happy to be here! We are minutes from the new temple they are building here in Calgary and are really excited to be a part of the dedication in the fall! Its a really cool temple with awesome mountain views! That is the best part of our new area, as soon as you come around the corner the whole sky is full of mountains - its really neat! We have been having fun exploring our new neighborhood and enjoying the warm weather!

Exploring our neighborhood and enjoying the sunshine!

Its really windy here compared to Edmonton!

Ty says this place is alright! Wait till we take you to the zoo buddy!

Stairmaster!!

This video is over a month old, but I had to post it anyways. Ty was so proud to have mastered going down the stairs! Since then, climbing up and down the stairs is a daily activity, only now sometimes he is too lazy to go down and insists on a piggy back!

Talking with Ty

Ty has been talking up a storm lately, its his new major focus. These videos are a bit old, but they show off some pretty cute skills. Included in the video clip are Ty's awesome Donald Duck impression, playing arm farts with Mommy (so proud!), and singing Old McDonald with Daddy (Ty's favorite song).

Christmas 2011!!

Yes, its almost March I am only just getting around to posting some Christmas pictures...lame. Christmas this year was a lot of fun! We had a nice quiet Christmas Eve at home just the 3 of us and then went over to my parent's place on Christmas morning when we got up. Ty was VERY into the presents! He was in a phase of saying "guys" (or a word that sounds like guys, who really knows) and as soon as he saw the presents he kept grabbing them saying "guys, guys, guys"!! So excited! It was really fun! We didn't take any pictures ourselves, we wanted to enjoy opening presents with Ty and not have a " I want the camera" meltdown. Thanks to Uncle Brendon, we got some shots of Ty at my parent's house.
Ty opening his stocking in his cute Christmas PJ's. He stayed in them all day, of course.

Opening presents!

Playing with the paper, a favorite!

Bath toys!!

And so it began. Ty loves this book and I will continue to read this book multiple millions of times every day. I don't know why I look so annoyed in this picture, because I really don't mind.

A new ball!! Ty loves balls. As soon as he got this, he was in heaven and ran around Grandma's house all afternoon with it.

Ty in his sled from Santa! He loves it!!

Ty's First Haircut!!

It was time - time for Ty to get a haircut!! Our shaggy little boy was getting a bit out of hand. Ty was so good for the hairdresser! He didn't fuss at all until the very end when he was simply sick of being held down. And his hair turned out so cute!! I can't believe I waited so long! He looks like a little boy now for sure - but he looks so much cuter! I love it!!

The boys before! Check out Ty's major mullet and hair covering his ears!

Getting started! Ty liked flirting with Lisa - of course!

Being a really good boy!

All done! Ty didn't want to pose for pictures when we got home so I had to run around after him all afternoon to try and get a good one. Doesn't he look so cute!!

Such a little boy now!

Whatever Mom, I'm grown up now.

This is probably the best shot. Lisa did such a great job - I'm really impressed! She was able to shape it all over and give him a really good cut!

Winter Fun and Loving One!!

I have to admit, I love Ty at 1!! He is so much fun!! Since he has started walking around all on his own we have been having a great time. He really plays with me now and is really good about playing by himself too (usually with his train or his ball). Not that I didn't enjoy Ty as a little baby, but I am having a lot of fun with him right now. It makes me so grateful that I have the opportunity to stay home with him. These are the moments I have been waiting for and I am loving every minute!! Ty loves to be chased around and is a super social, happy little guy! He can be pretty rambunctious, but he plays pretty good with other kids. He has gotten even more obsessed with the cameras and now will throw a tantrum if he really wants something and can't have it - especially right now with the toilet and the toilet water and the buttons for the thermostat. It makes it really hard to get pictures of him and he is so cute so I want to take pictures all the time!! Anyways, here is a peek at what we have been up to lately.

It has been so mild this year, which is great for the weather, but crummy for the snow!! It was finally nice out with fluffy snow so we went out in the yard to play!

Thanks for the mittens Mom! Ty loves them - he doesn't pull at them at all!! We had a fun afternoon, but I think, like me, by the time you get all dressed up, its not as much fun anymore!!

Getting ready for Christmas!! I love my tree...so does Ty. Especially the Christmas balls...shocker!! He is actually pretty good with the tree. He does pull at it, but only a couple times and we moved all the balls out of reach...so that helps!

Brock's work had a Christmas party for the kids a few weeks ago and Santa came - with presents!! Ty loved it!! He grabbed the gift right away and thought Santa was a pretty cool dude! Too into the present to pose for the camera, but I'm glad he had fun!
