Summer!!

It has been a beautiful summer!  Ty has spent most days in his swimsuit, which is great!  Most days we wither go to the park, which is this really cool private residents club that has a great playground and this awesome fountain to splash and play in, or we play in the front yard in the pool.  We have also enjoyed many playdates with Brock's cousins which has been so fun!  I wish I had more pictures, especially of the playdates, but we have been having too much fun!

Playing in the fountain at Tuscany Club.  Never fails, no matter how many toys you bring, we have to play with everyone else's.

Loving the fountain!

Ty looks so big in this kid swing now!  I remember how small he was last year!

Playing in the pool in our front yard.  Great purchase!

Slashing Mommy with the elephant fountain!

Happy boy.

Playing with the palm tree!  It has moneys on it Mommy!

Just a short, but cute, video of Ty playing in his pool.

Birthdays in Banff!!!

After working so hard over Stampede, Brock was able to take a couple extra days off right around our birthdays!  Since they fall in the same week, we like to do something extra fun to celebrate, and with Banff so close, it seemed like the thing to do this year!  Brock got us an awesome room (and upgrade) at the Rimrock hotel.  It is amazing!  I wish we had more time, but it was still great to get away.

Playing in the pillows!

Laugh attack!!

After dinner we went to the Bow Falls.  Beautiful!

Trip Back to E-Town!!

Over the July long weekend, one mine and Brock's couple friend's were having their pre-wedding festivities so we made a bit of trip out of our return to E-Town.  Other than getting stuck on the highway for an hour due to some random car crash, the trip was really good, and really busy!  We were able to get out to my parent's place a couple times for some grandparent time.  Gido got Ty a new tractor, which he was thrilled about!  Here are a few photos of our visit.

Playing with his new tractor!

Getting dirty in the flower beds!

This picture didn't really turn out, but he was sitting in the grass just beaming!  Thanks Gido!

Walking with Gido.

Vacations are hard work!  He was soo tired over the weekend...I later found out that he started to cut his lower molers while on this trip.  Poor guy!

This video is for my Dad.  He gave him this ball popper while we were at his place, but he never got to see him actually play with it "properly".  He just ran around carrying it.  Of course, after the day I took this video he insisted on throwing it at me all the time, so the ball popper has been on a time out for a while.  Boys will be boys.

Fun in the Sun!

It has been so nice getting some summer-like weather!  We have been enjoying the park and the sunshine!  We even busted out the pool one day, it was just too hot!  Except...that I couldn't find Ty's actual baby pool and didn't want to waste such a nice day at walmart...so I improvised and found Ty's old baby bath!  Haha! Ty actually really loves putting himself in small bins lately, especially the lego bin, so he didn't mind his little bucket of a pool.

Ty is also really getting into the park, which is a lot of fun.  I really like the park by our new house.  Its nice equipment, not too big, not too complicated.  Ty LOVES the slide!  The other day he mastered the big boy twisty slide!  I only have pics on the little slide, he was too busy going up and down to pose for pics at that point anyways.

Loving the slide!

Such a big boy - I do it myself!

Big boy in a little tub!  HAHA!  Such a good picture though!

What I love about being a Mom...

This week I have been thinking a lot about being a Mom.  Sure, there is stuff that drives me crazy....getting no sleep, having my hair pulled all day long, temper tantrums....but there is so much that I truly love about it.  I love that I can sit around in my pj's all day (sometimes days at a time) and Tyson really doesn't care, he actually prefers it.  I love that I get to be a kid again - play with toys, go to the park, watch cartoons, play with bubbles.  I love that i get to run errands mid-week...i hate the mall on the weekends.  I love it when I am walking with Ty and he looks up at me with a huge smile on his face.  I know that he loves me more than anything else in this world and that melts my heart.  I love all the hugs and kisses Tyson gives me.  I love listening to Ty's many "stories" - Ty still speaks his own language, but I absolutely love it.  I love knowing that I helped to create this wonderful little miracle.  When Ty is sleeping in my arms, I often look down at him and think of how amazing life is.  How I helped to co-create him along with my Heavenly Father and what a precious gift and miracle that truly is.  I am so grateful to our Heavenly Father that he could possibly trust us, and me, with such a precious gift.  With all the ups and downs and mistakes, I sometimes wonder how I can do this, but we always make it through and with a little patience and love, it will always work out.  I love that Tyson is making me a better person.  He has taught me so much about myself, and although I have a long way to go, I know that together we will become the people that our Heavenly Father knows we are destined to become.

Spring Days!

We have really been enjoying the warm weather! The other day I got some bubbles for Ty and I to play with and it was a big hit! He loves watching them fly all over and playing with the bucket - of course!

Watching the cars...Ty's favorite thing ever. Cars, wheels, balls.

Checking out the shrubs.

Man on a mission....more cars probably. haha!

More bubbles Mommy!

Easter!

Just before Easter this year I took Ty to Auntie Kristin's house to decorate Easter cookies! Ty actually had a lot of fun doing it, so I attempted to do it again on my own. My icing was way too runny, but Ty still had fun. Thanks again for having us Kristin, it was fun to try something new with Ty. He loves coloring and writing with pens, so this was right up his ally.

Doing so good with the good icing at Kristin's house!

Ty's awesome cookies!

Helping Mommy pick out the cookie cutters!

Cutting out shapes!

Having fun making cookies!

Waiting for them to bake. How much longer?!

Decorating! Loves it...even with bad, runny icing.

It was to do this, but my cookies and icing were not my best batch. Glad he was more into decorating than eating them!
