Easter!!

For Easter this year I really wanted to decorate cookies with Ty.  He had done it for the first time a year ago in Calgary, and I was hoping he would still enjoy it.  Plus, we didn't get to decorate cookies at Christmas...so I was a little excited.  So was Ty!  He loved it!  He loves to color, so once again, he was in heaven.  We played with icing for a solid hour before I had to cut it off for lunch.  He really understood to put it on the cookies too!  I had brought a bunch of cookies to a play date earlier that week, so we only had 6 or so, which was not nearly enough!  Once the cookies were seriously covered, I got out some tin foil and we just played with the icing.  A great activity and made all the prep-work well worth it!

Getting into his first cookie.

Happy boy!

Working hard!

Seriously, he just loves doing this!  And he is super cute too.

Working on his masterpiece.

You would think he was getting hyper off eating the icing, but he doesn't eat it, just likes to play.

A few of our cookies, lots of icing!

We had a giggle party too!

Easter morning Ty got up to find the Easter Bunny had come!  It was a Tigger themed year.  He still loves Tigger and Winnie the Pooh, so the Easter Bunny brought him the Tigger Movie and some treats.  We had a bit of an egg hunt, which Ty was kinda into.  He had more fun later on in the week dumping the eggs out of his basket and then collecting them.  We took a couple pictures in the morning of Ty getting his treats.

Cute Tigger basket.  Its actually the same one he had from his first Easter.

New movie!

30 Weeks and Settling In

This photo is actually recent for once, here I am at 30 weeks!  Holy smokes, this pregnancy has gone soo fast!  We are finally moved into our new place in Edmonton, and we LOVE it!  It is perfect for us right now. 3 bedrooms and a fenced in yard!  The kitchen is great and lets face it, we are just happy to have a kitchen after living in hotels for so long.  We are settled for the most part but still have a lot of finishing left to do.

I feel like this baby is really creeping up on me now.  I only just saw my maternity doctor for the first time last week - 30 weeks - crazy!  I am excited to have a girl and all the fun girly stuff that comes with that, but I am nervous about having 2 kids and balancing that.  I know Ty is going to have a bit of a hard time with the transition and I am hoping that we will all sleep....but as Brock reminds me, I just need to take it one day at a time and figure it out as I go.  9 more weeks of just Ty and me!

Ty is really loving our new house.  The hard floors are great to play cars and he has so much room to play.  We have been trying to get outside too, when the weather is nice enough....and I mean nice...I don't fit in any of my winter jackets!  Here are a few pictures from our day out in the snow!

Christmas in Chilliwack!

After our brief visit home, we got settled in to celebrate Christmas in Chilliwack.  We were able to find a small Christmas tree on a great sale, so that really helped the hotel feel more like Christmas.  Ty was so excited about the tree!!  He insisted that it always be turned on and loved looking at all of the lights.

Checking out the tree.

More tree inspection.

On Christmas Eve we ordered in room service and watched Christmas movies in our new PJ's!  It was a fun and relaxing night.

Ty was really into the movie, we must have been watching the Grinch or Pluto's Christmas Tree.  Those were Ty's favorites this year.

Snuggling with my little man.

Christmas morning Ty actually slept in very late!!  That is what Brock asked for, so he was happy too!  It was a quiet day again.  Opened some presents, FaceTime with the family and buffet dinner from the restaurant downstairs.  Hotel life sure has its advantages - no cooking or cleaning!!

Ty playing with his new truck from Santa.  Every car or truck had to be played with on this table.

A couple days after Christmas, my parents came for a visit with a truck full of toys!  Santa truly had come!  I wish i would remember to take pictures with my camera when my family is around.  Oh well.  We had a lot of fun, watching hockey and going to the park.  My parents got Ty a few puzzles and he was so into them!  Good thing there are lots of puzzles at their house too - Ty loves puzzles and is really good at them too!

Playing with his Tyson puzzle.

Expert status!

And here I am just before we headed back home!  This picture is about a month and a half old already, I can't believe that I am having this baby in 10 weeks or so!!  Talk about a whirlwind pregnancy!

It's a Girl!!!

I finally had my 20 week ultrasound this week!!  I was so excited to finally be going, I ended up having to fly back to Calgary to take care of all my medical appointments as nothing is happening here in BC.  And we are thrilled to announce that.....its and GIRL!!!  I am absolutely overjoyed!!  Brock and I are so excited and feel so blessed to be welcoming a little princess in April!  Only 4 more months to go!

Here is my and my baby girl at 18 weeks.  Still pretty small, although I feel like I have really popped since this photo was taken.

Our little princess!  Pretty good picture, although she was moving a lot during the exam!

Life in Chilliwack

Well, we have been in Chilliwack for about 6 weeks now, and will probably be here for another 3.  I have been trying to keep Ty busy and entertained as much as I can during our stay, and it really hasn't been so bad.  We have gone swimming a bunch of times, which has been a lot of fun!  The pool is really not busy during the week and it's really cheap to go!  We are all looking forward to the new year and getting settled and ready for our baby girl!

One of Brock's co-workers lent us an entire bin of hot wheel cars - so generous!  Ty has LOVED playing with them!  Truly a lifesaver.  He loves to pile them all on the table, over and over again.

So many cars!  This kid can never have enough cars.

Eating cookies and watching cartoons!  Ty's new favorite thing is Snoopy, he thinks that he is hilarious!

While we watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade we attempted to decorate cookies.  Ty liked to play with the icing, but I was a little nervous about staining the rug.  I think he still had fun, even with me "helping" a little too much.

Ty's other favorite spot is to lean on the TV stand and watch TV.  So cute.

Ty's First Airplane Ride!

Recently Brock got a work contract to run a hotel in Chilliwack, BC.  The contract is for 6 weeks, possibly longer, and Ty and I didn't want to be away from Daddy for that long, so we packed up and moved to Chilliwack for a month or so.  Brock drove out with a Jeep packed full of stuff to make sure we would be comfortable, so grateful!!  A couple days later Ty and I hopped a flight to meet up with Daddy!

All in all, the flight was really good.  I am super grateful to Brock's brother Josh who got a pass to walk us all the way to the gate.  Seriously, I would not have made it there without him.  Ty's car seat is super heavy and Ty was being a bit fussy getting through security, so his help was invaluable!

Our flight got delayed an hour, which was a big bummer.  I had just let Ty go run around, thinking we would be getting on the plane right away, and then they let us know we were delayed!!  Suck!  Ty was pretty tired by the time we finally got going, but he was great on the plane and only freaked out right at the end when the lights came back on and he realized how many people were around that he didn't know.  So proud of him!

I took one picture of him before we took off.  He watched a movie during the flight and looked like this pretty much the entire time.  We are so glad to be here and with Daddy!

Halloween!!

This year for Halloween Ty dressed up as Woody, one of his favorite Disney characters!  The costume was so cute!  Ty has been pretty anti-hat lately, so he refused to wear his hat, but he wanted his Woody toy to try it on and of course Mommy too!

Brock's awesome Scar pumpkin.  I didn't really have time to help this year and our carving tools broke, so this is doubly impressive!

Ty as Woody with Woody!  He was pretty excited!

Ty hitting a studly pose!  Looking super cute!

This year we went to the mall to trick or treat with Brock's cousin Kristin and her son.  It was a lot of fun!  Ty loved running around the mall and he got a pretty good haul of treats!

Ty enjoying a chicken strip with his haul of treats.  Good work buddy!
